TGDI engines require increased protection against Low-Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI) and timing chain wear. LSPI is common issue with turbocharged engines, it creates excessive pressures inside the engine’s cylinders, which can cause engine damage. This oil is specifically designed to mitigate LSPI and provide time chain wear protection.
The benefits of PAO synthetic base stocks include excellent high viscosity index with low temperature fluidity and high resistance to oxidation as well as thermal degradation. These properties make PAO a good selection in temperature extremes, including high operating and low start-up temperatures.
